Biography
Dr. Narayana Subramaniam is the Lead Consultant in Head & Neck Surgery & Oncology at the Aster International Institute of Oncology, Bangalore โ one of India's most respected oncology centres.
With over 5000 complex head and neck surgeries performed, Dr. Narayana combines the highest level of surgical expertise with an internationally recognised academic record. He has edited 3 textbooks and published over 130 peer-reviewed papers in indexed journals โ placing him among the most published head and neck surgeons in India.
His fellowship training took him to the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse Hospital in Sydney, Australia โ one of the world's leading dedicated cancer centres โ and he holds a TransOral Visiting Scholar position at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the foremost TORS programmes globally.
Dr. Narayana is an early adopter of Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) in India and has led several world-first surgical procedures in jaw reconstruction and skull base surgery. He has the largest documented volume of jaw-in-a-day cancer surgeries in the world.
